The College of Agriculture Discusses a Doctoral Dissertation on the Response of Young Fig Trees of Two Cultivars to a Modified Environment and Spraying with Benzyladenine and Nano Calcium

A doctoral dissertation submitted by the student Firdous Mahdi Saleh Mahdi was discussed in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, College of Agriculture, Tikrit University, entitled:

“Response of Young Trees of Two Fig Cultivars (Ficus carica L.) to a Modified Environment and Spraying with Benzyladenine and Nano Calcium.”

The dissertation presented an advanced scientific study aiming to clarify the effect of certain environmental treatments and foliar application of growth regulators and nano-elements on improving the response and growth of young fig trees, given the economic and agricultural importance of this crop.

The examination committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Adeeb Jasim Abbas from Tikrit University / College of Agriculture, with membership of:

  • Prof. Dr. Rasmi Mohammed Hamad from the University of Anbar / College of Agriculture,
  • Prof. Dr. Ali Saeed Atiyah from the University of Kufa / College of Agriculture,
  • Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Ahmed from Tikrit University / College of Agriculture,
  • Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Fadhil Latif from Tikrit University / College of Agriculture,
    and under the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Ihsan Fadhil Saleh from Tikrit University / College of Agriculture.

At the conclusion of the discussion, after reviewing the scientific aspects and discussing the results and recommendations, the committee presented its valuable scientific remarks, commending the student’s efforts and the academic level of the dissertation.
